Audectra v1.2.0 released!
Hey everyone!
I know I know, it’s been a long time since my last update on this website, but I have kept working on the new beat detection algorithm since the last release of v1.1.0, bit by bit in my free time.
And I am proud to say: It’s finally done! =D

Changelog from v1.1.0 to v1.2.0
- (finally) Fixed bug that caused a crash of Audectra on start up sometimes
- Completely new beat detection algorithm.
- New Graph added for Beat Detection Mode, showing you how good each BPM matches your current song.
- Fixed a few other minor bugs.
The new Beat Detection Mode
First of all, I will not lose any details on how Audectra’s new Beat Detection Algorithm works, because I have put a great amount of work and research into it. But there are a few things about the new Beat Detection Mode which you might need to know:
- The new algorithm needs about 3.5 – 5 seconds to adapt to your song
- Currently the algorithm is able to detect BPMs between 60 and 180 in 10 BPM-steps.
- Compared to the old Beat Detection Algorithm the new one needs some more cpu time and ram. (Although it’s already highly optimized, I will try to optimize it further.)
I hope you guys like it! If you find any bugs, please don’t hesitate to report them at:
